CMC commenced its initial contract with the
Ulster
County [
New York]
Law
Enforcement
Center (original ADP of 250) on February 4, 2002. In August, 2002,
CMC incorporated the former County-operated mental health program into its full-service health care program. During this time,
Ulster
County built and opened a new jail (opened in December 2006), resulting in an increase in average population to 315.
CMC is also currently providing services at the
Montgomery
County [
Pennsylvania] Correctional Facility. The initial contract commenced on August 8, 2002 for a three-year term. At the expiration of that term,
CMC won a competitive rebid. During the term of this new contract,
Montgomery
County's average daily population is expected to rise to 1700 beds.
On June 15, 2005,
CMC began a contract to deliver health care services at the
Pyramid
Reception
Center in the Bronx,
New York under the auspices of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). The
Pyramid
Reception
Center is a juvenile intake facility requiring receiving screenings and provision of general health care services to youths prior to their assignment to long-term facilities. In February 2010, the Pyramid Reception Center was moved to the Ella McQueen Reception Center in Brooklyn, New York. CMC subsequently was awarded the Ella McQueen contract, which runs until June 14, 2015.
CMC currently manages the health care services for a total of seven (7) local correctional facilities throughout the State of New York. On January 1, 2006,
CMC began to deliver health care services at the Broome County Correctional Facility in
Binghamton,
New York (ADP 405). As part of this contract,
CMC transitioned mental health services from a County-run program and assimilated it into its full-service health care program. CMC also delivers health care services to the Dutchess County Jail in New York (ADP 310) under a contract that commenced on May 1, 2007. This contract is for a full‑service, comprehensive health care program. On January 1, 2008, CMC began providing medical health services to both the Schenectady County Correctional Facility (ADP approximately 350) and the Tioga County Jail. Under these contracts, CMC is responsible for the provision of medical, pharmaceutical and on-site services to the Correctional Facility. On April 1, 2008, CMC began provision of services to the Monroe County (New York)Correctional Facility and Jail. This comprehensive health care program includes both medical and mental health services and also includes converting the facilities to an integrated Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. Most recently, CMC was awarded a contract for medical health care services for the Orange County (New York) Correctional Facility. This contract began January 1, 2009.
